Meet Willard F. Hurd, AIA

​Willard F. Hurd, AIA serves as the Delaware State Representative to the AIA Small Firm Exchange (SFx) Knowledge Community.

​As he began his career, Will worked at several local architecture firms gaining knowledge and experience on many aspects of the profession. 

In 2009, he started Footprint Architecture & Design as a sole practitioner specializing in small projects for clients in need of limited architectural services.
 
Will volunteered to serve as Delaware’s AIA SFx State Representative to support small firms through knowledge sharing and community building.

SFx Objectives
The objectives of the AIA SFx are to:

  • advocate the value of small firms both within the AIA and to the public;
  • curate and disseminate the most pertinent resources and information relevant to small firms; and
  • inform AIA National of current issues facing small firms. 
Bi-monthly Virtual Coworking Sessions on the 3rd Tuesdays
Virtual coworking is a way to feel connected with others in these days of working from home.

Drop in at any point during any session.
 
Tuesday, February 21 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Tuesday, April 18 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Tuesday, June 20 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Tuesday, August 15 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Tuesday, October 17 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Tuesday, December 19 ​from 12:00 to 2:00 pm
Join Coworking Session
Virtual coworking is a way to feel connected with others in these days of working from home. If you work alone and need accountability to actually sit at your desk and do things you are welcome to attend. 

​The general structure will be based on the Pomodoro work method: 5 minutes of chatting followed by 25 minutes of work on whatever you want. One or two of the 25 minute blocks could be a discussion about concerns of the attendees.
