Chris believes architecture is at its most sublime when it breathes new life into underutilized historic buildings, dating back to his thesis proposal at Syracuse University for the reuse of the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia thirty years ago. His approach to adaptive reuse and renovation work, which comprises much of CDA’s work, is rooted in exploring how two distinct architectural languages can coalesce to create a coherent dialogue. |
