Key Take Aways
By Christine Olshan, Associate AIA
I had the privilege of attending a transformative workshop led by Morgan Chawaga, AIA President, better known as The Healthy Architect Tri-State Fusion Conference in Hershey, PA. Morgan’s innovative approach to combating stress, preventing burnout, and setting boundaries in the architecture industry left a lasting impression on me - and I believe it could for you too.  Continue reading >

Sho-Ping Chin Women’s Leadership Summit Grant

In honor of Sho-Ping Chin, FAIA, the Architects Foundation offers a grant opportunity for recipients to attend the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit. Sho-Ping was a principal at Payette and in 2009 became the founding leader of the inaugural AIA Women’s Leadership Summit.  Tragically Sho-Ping succumbed to cancer in 2015, but her legacy of women’s leadership continues. The memorial fund established in her name is focused on funding the development of future women leaders in architecture.

Recipients of the grant receive: (a) registration for the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit and (b) a stipend for travel and expense reimbursement.  The application period opens each May. Learn more >

Your Title Before Licensure in Delaware

The Short Answer
Delaware's architecture law allows individuals currently employed under the responsible control of a Licensed Architect who also maintains a NCARB record in good standing to use the title  "ARCHITECTURAL INTERN" or "INTERN ARCHITECT" in conjunction with the person's current employment.

Certain titles are allowed by the state of Delaware; however,
Architectural Associate" is NOT one of them.
